Web push for websites
Web push notifications for your website
Web push puts your notification on a reader's desktop or phone, even when your site is closed. With SharePush it takes one script tag and one file at your domain root, and nobody has to install an app or hand over an email address.

Readers leave. Web push brings them back without an app or an email address
Most visitors read one page and go. Email asks them to type an address and confirm it. An app asks them to find it in a store and install it. Most never do either.
Web push asks for one click. From then on a new article, a price drop or a score change reaches them on the lock screen or the desktop, and a tap brings them straight back to the page.
How to add web push in three steps
-
1
Add the script
Paste the SharePush script into your pages. It loads asynchronously, in the head or at the end of the body.
-
2
Put the service worker at your domain root
Upload one small file, sharepush-sw.js, to the root of your domain. Browsers deliver push only to a service worker on your own site.
-
3
Choose when to ask
Show the prompt after a delay or once the reader scrolls part of the page. Readers who accept become subscribers you can reach from the dashboard.
What you get
-
A prompt you control
Your copy, your theme, in five languages. The browser's own permission dialog only appears after the reader says yes to yours.
-
A second chance to opt in
Readers who dismiss the prompt see a short "Are you sure?" step before it closes. Turn it off if you prefer.
-
iPhone readers walked through
Safari on iPhone allows web push only for sites added to the Home Screen. SharePush shows iPhone readers how to add yours.
-
A bridge out of in-app browsers
Readers inside Instagram or Facebook cannot subscribe there. SharePush invites them to reopen the page in their browser.
-
Every send measured
Delivered, viewed, clicked and closed, for every campaign, with a live stream of events as they arrive.
-
A daily cap per subscriber
Set how many pushes one subscriber can get in a day, and campaigns, RSS pushes included, stay under it.

Web push, answered.
Messages a website sends through the browser to readers who agreed to receive them. They look like app notifications on desktop, Android and iPhone, and a tap opens the page they point to.
